Youth activities

On 30th May 2024, we hosted the Youth Summit and Exhibition, a day of workshops, art & fun activities to bring young people from the migrant community together.

We provide a programme of regular group sessions and activities for young people. All these activities aim to allow young people to build confidence, share new experiences, make friends, learn English and have fun!

Activities include a weekly Youth Club with Da’aro Youth Project for young people ages 14 to 25 years on Thursdays at 5.30 – 8.30pm, where we provide ESOL and support with English and maths homework (5.30 – 6.30pm), art workshops, games, sports and a community meal. Please contact Zeek (zeek@slr-a.org.uk / 07926581484) or call the office 0203 4903443 to refer a young person.

Our Youth Participation Group ‘Care for Young Migrants’ meets periodically to discuss issues affecting young migrants. We also deliver workshops for young people about community organising and leadership skills, creative activities and go on fun trips. Please contact Fran (francess@slr-a.org.uk / 07925140340) for further details.
